Mars Rover: The Nasa Giant Leap Begins Here
Humans Might Be The Next Thing Landing On Mars!
When they sent in the contest of "Send your Name to Mars," who would have thought that this could lead to a rover and a tiny helicopter to land on Mars questioning the basic things that are the presence of life on a planet beyond our own. The cosmic creations, life beyond our own, and mystical creatures have always intrigued many of us into a dwelling for UFOs and alien sightings. But NASA's ninth mission to mars just provided an insight into the life that could have had been present: Mars Rover.
The rover "Perseverance" and the small robotic helicopter "Ingenuity" flapped up its metallic wings and launched from Atlas V launch vehicle at 11:50:00 on 30 July 2020 and fulfilled its destiny by successfully touching down Jezero Crater on Mars at 20:55 on 18 February.
Perseverance is the scientist's inner trait who has worked hard on the project, and the namesake rover is to investigate the geological processes taking place there to check for signs of life. It also encompasses containers that some other mission can later retrieve. Although Perseverance's model is closely related to Curiosity, yet to accomplish making it took eight years. Finally, "perseverance" did pay off, boasting 19 cameras and two microphones for the proper coverage making it the 6th most expensive robotic planetary mission. Still, a significant deal was saved as the design and the previous hardware were restored into the new rover.
In a time like this, where the world is amidst a pandemic, and the world as a whole had confined itself into their homes. The mission was still thriving and paid tribute to all the health workers worldwide for their Perseverance through these challenging times of COVID-19. Moreover, it has a plate featuring the Rod of Asclepius holding the planet Earth, an actual demonstration of how our heroes held the planet Earth for us.
The scientist's target is to look for the Jezero Crater, which has a river delta and has a good chance of containing bio-signatures so that the fossils can be retrieved or their signs if the speculation that Mars has life is true. The scientists have sighed a relief after the rover's successful descent, but the actual question is, is Mars alive? Are we looking at a planet better than ours? But surely we did cover a mammoth step by such a program.
